Lethal League LethalLeague Homestuck Doc Scratch Candyman Crossover Mod The Felt Revellious Creative Scratch Session Team Reptile A youtube trailer was also planned, but I won’t make it until the voice actor I have in mind is able to record new audio for Candyman. I may make more Homestuck themed stages down the line. If you’re a Lethal League fan or a Homestuck fan or both, I’m sure you can enjoy this in some way or another. I wanted him to do more so all of Candyman’s voice audio was replaced, but unfortunately he had fallen upon hard times and could not record more despite his complete interest in being in the project.Īll in all I had a blast doing this project, I had never committed to working on something like this before, and the feeling of completing it and sharing it with everyone is hard to top. LordMegatronG1, a voice actor who likes to make Doc Scratch demos, he provided a soundbite for Doc’s victory quote. Original music commissioned by Whatthisissooutrageous a fellow Homestuck fan, I saw and listened to this piece he composed on his youtube channel and wanted more, so I reached out to him and asked if he could commission a similar piece for the mod. Candyball is now a cueball, complete with Green Sun effects.New stage: Felt Manor (replaces Room 21).New color palettes for the character (All 21 were replaced, including team colors).Omniscient host Doc Scratch from Homestuck. The mod is a complete character edit for Candyman, changing him from the tap-dancing dandy to the I showed it off and provided a download link on my twitch channel, but I think a tumblr post would better serve as the official download page for it. It had been completed for a while now but I never got around to cleaning some of the files up and posting an official release. TL DR: Easiest character to learn the game with, this is normal. This is a project I had been working on and off for the longest time. I say 1/4 and not 1/5 because I expect some people will stick with him because it's easier to continue progressing with one character than branching out and experimenting with the rest, especially if they're winning games. You'll probably see Candyman mains drop down to about 1/4 once people try out all the other characters and choose one that fits their playstyle instead of just the one that is the easiest to learn with. I think I have about a 50% win rate against him in the hands of really good players. Go to the steam community chat, play a few rounds against the people there and you'll see a pretty even split of characters amongst them. I don't think Candyman is weaker or stronger than other characters, he's just the absolute easiest to get used to and play moderately well. A new player could not, for example, properly utilize Sonata or Switch's special at all in the same way a new player could properly utilize Candyman's special. I'm talking specifically about new player vs new player here, good Candyman players absolutely try and do specific angles at certain times in order to use the ability to the fullest. No planning where you're going to send the ball (Sonata), figuring out which other direction you want to send the ball (Raptor), setting up for an unpredictable spit (Latch) or timing a flipkick to return a ball at high speeds without getting hit (Switch), just fire 'n forget at some point and hope for the best That's incredibly easy to grasp and utilize. No wall-climbing, ceiling-skating, double-jumping or wall-jumping, just jumps really high. His movement mechanic is the easiest in the game by far. ![]() Sidenote: I wonder how many new players started up their first game with Switch, did an upward hit and went "WTF JUST HAPPENED?" His angles are pretty simple, and especially on a downward strike you can easily retake your ball at low speeds with little effort. I'm with Vertiguous here, Candyman is extremely newbie-friendly.
